Description

I am recruiting for a Unix Administrator to be based 2-3 days a week in Dunstable, remaining time remote.

The role falls inside IR35 so you will need to work through an umbrella company.

You must have previous experience working as a UNIX System Administrator in an enterprise high availability environment with extensive knowledge of UNIX operating systems - Solaris/RHEL.

Experience in Operating system/Middleware hardening and security audits and experience of using QualysGuard Enterprise suite is essential.

You will have an understanding of CVVS scoring and experience of managing and prioritising vulnerabilities accordingly.

A good understanding of best practice within the Unix technology stack is required.

You must have a good understanding of CVEs and the remediation with a good knowledge of security.

You must also have good experience of configuration parameters in Apache & Tomcat, administrative security settings in AIX, Solaris, RHEL and common infrastructure, including Active Directory, GPO and Kerberos.
