UNIX AIX Administrator, Contract, Dublin City Centre
UNIX AIX Administrator Role and Responsibilities:
The candidate for this position will install, configure, administer, tune and optimize UNIX/AIX systems and related components to achieve high availability, stability and performance for the various business applications supported. The candidate will implement major software upgrades, ensuring change management procedures are implemented and followed
Required:
- HMC upgrades
- Network SEA setup on dual vios
- Power 7 experience
- IBM power kit
- AIX 5.3, 6.1, 7.1 on virtual lpars
- Experience of migrating from Aix 5.3 to 7.1 and AIX 6.1 to Aix 7.1
- Experience with technology level upgrades, service packs and os.
- Mksysb
- NIM server
- AIX performance monitoring.
- Server security compliance
- Familiarity with oracle
- Pandora monitoring tool
- NTP
- Ksh Shell Scripting
- Cron
- Disk management
- Red hat linux
- HPUX 11.11, 11.23, 11.31
- Remedy
