Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Network engineer with a strong working background within UNIX. To be successful in this role you will require previous experience in Cisco Networking, Fabric Switches, Storage Administration, Solaris 10, Sun Clustering and Scripting (Bourne, Perl). Must have the experience in performance tuning, network configuration and network file systems. Strong understanding of automating tasks.
Skills and Requirements: Experience in network administration and UNIX system administration. Network design, network administration, network engineering, storage administration, JUMPSTART, Flash Archive Technology and Scripting (Bourne, Perl). Ability to work in a team setting. Proven ability to work with some supervision. Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills - Knowledge of UNIX and Networking concepts Strong knowledge of one or more of the following: Solaris, CISCO, and Red Hat Linux - Strong understanding of automating tasks. Ability to integrate COTS/GOTS products in Solaris operating systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, and maintenance. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Extensive knowledge of CISCO Hardware Ability to configure and design complex Network Experience managing Storage Area Networking Extensive knowledge in UNIX administration- Strong Scripting skills in Perl Sun Cluster technology 5+ years experience within IT networking will be necessary, Certifications will be highly regarded but not necessary
