My client is one of the major media companies within the Australian market and is currently looking for a Systems Administrator to join a small team of Unix/Linux server specialists, under limited direction from the Team Leader.
This exciting opportunity is looking for an experienced Unix System Administrator, second and third level systems support, using services consisting of Solaris and RedHat Linux operating systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, management & support of RedHat & Solaris operating systems.
- Ticketing, level 2 & 3 support.
- Mentor and coach assigned team members.
- Maintain documentation relating to assigned tasks, clients, and Unix/Linux server systems.
- Manage own workload to achieve results to agreed priorities, standards and with agreed time frames; provide reports of progress as required.
Key Requirements:
- Strong experience in the administration of Solaris & Redhat Linux - essential.
- Experience in the application and administration of a security policy; an understanding of its importance - essential.
- Experience installing/configuring and monitoring a wide variety of software (Apache, tomcat, jboss).
- Solid experience with Shell Scripting, Perl experience - desirable.
- Good communication skills - essential.
