User Researcher

Duration: Initial 6 months
EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITY:
Sopra Steria Recruitment Ltd (a Sopra Steria company) provides recruitment and resourcing solutions to Sopra Steria, a leading European IT service provider.
Sopra Steria requires User Researcher for an initial; 6 months contract, supporting a project for one of our major Client.
User Researchers are required to work on the Census Programme to gather user needs and user journeys to inform the delivery approach.
There may be occasional travel across England and Wales covering the Census areas.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Working on usability testing process from developing user recruitment briefs through to test moderation, analysis and report writing
- Conducting in-house research to test new product and concept developments (including user requirements gathering and early stage concept and prototype testing, guerrilla research, and other approaches to ensuring the user needs are fully understood in the service design)
- Working closely with designers and developers to turn user data into actionable product/service requirements that feed into prototype development, and influence product direction
Essential skills and experience:
- Expert in gathering user requirements for web based services.
- Expert in managing, executing and analysing usability test sessions across multiple products.
- Expert in user centred design practices including audience modelling and developing design personas.
