Location: Hamburg, Germany (approx. 60% remote / 40% on-site)
Start date: 1 December 2026
Contract duration: 18 months, until 31 May 2028
Working hours: 40 hours per week
Contract type: Temporary assignment

We are looking for an experienced UX Designer / Application Conception Specialist to support a major enterprise application migration project for a well-established organisation in the German healthcare sector.
You will help shape the user experience of modern, web-based applications, ensuring that existing workflows are translated into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces. Working closely with business stakeholders, migration specialists and developers, you will play a key role in the transition from a legacy application environment to a modern digital platform.
Conduct user interviews and gather insights into existing application interfaces and workflows.
Translate research findings into practical UX concepts and user-centred design solutions.
Create wireframes, mock-ups and interactive prototypes using Figma.
Design and structure complex workflows for enterprise applications.
Support the migration from an established legacy application to modern, web-based interfaces.
Collaborate with business specialists, developers and migration teams throughout the implementation process.
Present and explain design decisions to stakeholders, incorporating feedback where appropriate.
Align user flows and interface concepts with technical requirements and implementation constraints.
Help ensure consistency, usability and a smooth transition for users throughout the migration.
Proven experience in UX design, application conception or product design.
Strong practical experience conducting user research, including user interviews and usability testing.
Proficiency in Figma, including wireframing and interactive prototyping.
Experience designing web interfaces or complex enterprise applications.
Understanding of user-centred design principles and the ability to translate research into actionable design concepts.
Experience collaborating with developers, product teams and business stakeholders in an Agile environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to present and defend design decisions.
Experience with legacy application migrations or large-scale digital transformation projects is highly desirable.
Ability to work on-site in Hamburg approximately 40% of the time.

Indicative annual salary bands:
Mid-level: €55,000–€65,000
Senior: €66,000–€76,000
Lead: €77,000–€84,000, subject to demonstrable enterprise UX leadership and strategic design responsibility
