Description

Working on an SC Cleared Programme of work in Brussels this role requires a Virtualisation Engineer to lead Processing Engineering efforts during large scale migration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage VMM integration with Windows Server systems, System Centre Configuration Manager, System Centre Orchestrator, and System Centre Operations Manager
  • Ensure continuity of operations across 2 datacentre sites and one test site using High Availability and Fault Tolerance technologies
  • Document and train staff on the operation of Processing and Virtualisation Services

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with Dell Chassis and Blade, and rack server technologies
  • At least 5 years' experience with large scale virtual datacentre, either Hyper-V or VMware including design, deploy, and maintain
  • Experience with IPMI standard lights out OOB management including Dell iDRAC
  • 2+ years Virtual Datacentre architecture and design with Hyper-V or VMware a plus
  • Experience with Network virtualisation including design, deploy, and maintain
  • Minimum 5 years of experience IT operations (Windows System Administration)
  • Experience with MS SQL 2012 to current version including design, deploy, and maintain
  • Experience with patch management with WSUS and SCCM including design, deploy, and maintain
  • 2+ years Citrix XenServer, XenDesktop, XenApp design, deploy, administrative support
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Windows Active Directory version 2008 or better
  • Expert knowledge in Windows, Linux/RedHat/CentOS, and UNIX OS hardening and standardisation
  • Expert knowledge in administrative script writing (PowerShell preferred)
  • Knowledge in SAN design, implementation, clustering, and multi-pathing
  • Certification in ITIL Foundations is advantageous

Contract: 6 months
