Description

We are looking for a contract security engineer to focus most exclusively on our defence software, supporting our SecurityEngineer and taking over day-to-day Akamai operations.

  1. Support our web and application defence setup, working alongside our Security Engineer to tune and maintain security policies, rules and rate controls to reduce attacks and false positives
  2. Monitor traffic and security events, and investigate suspicious activity such as bot, scraping, credential-stuffing and DDoS attempts
  3. Support security incidents
  4. Roll out and test configuration changes safely, with change tracking and rollback Build reporting and dashboards on attacks, blocked trss, and feed findings into our alerting
  5. Automate recurring work using the Akamai APIs, infrastructure-as-code or scripts Work with engineering teams to onboard new services angs
  6. Document runbooks, rule decisions and configuration so the knowledge stays with the team Take over day-to-day Akamai operations so our Securitoader security engineering
Hands-on Experience with Akamai /. Cloudfare or simila security products
? Solid understanding of web security (OWASP Top 10, HT patterns)
? Experience with tuning WAF rules and handling false positives in a high-traffic environment
