Cathcart Energy are currently recruiting for a highly experienced Onshore Construction Project Manager to build onshore wind farms in Norway.
This role requires excellent language skills in both Norwegian and English as well as expert level knowledge of Norwegian construction and health and safety legislation.
You will be based in Egersund with full accommodation provided if required.
You will be working for one of the most successful European Wind Turbine Manufactures who are expanding their operations into Norway and need an expert in constructing infrastructure level projects in Norway to manage and advise on the projects.
Role responsibilities:
- Working closely with the sales and tendering teams to ensure the scope of work and project plans are appropriate and compliant
- Managing and selecting sub-contractors and logistics partners
- Commercial Management of the projects until handover
You will need to have strong contract knowledge and of particular use will be FIDIC style contracts.
Candidates who have not worked in the wind sector before will be considered so long as you have good experience of onshore construction projects. Of particular interest would be backgrounds in: Transmition and distribution (overhead line construction), other renewable types such as hydro or other power generation technologies, or any large industrial onshore construction projects.
Candidates who only have experience of offshore construction will not be suitable.
