Windows Server/VMWare/AD - URGENT
Blue chip client based in Bratislava, Slovakia has an urgent contract/freelance requirement for a strong Windows Server SME to join their team and assist on the upgrade/migration of Windows Server across EMEA
Major tasks and deliverables:
- investigate running processes and applications on Server
- Discover and document interfaces and server roles
- Support Testing of x64 bit compliancy of the application
- Setup new Virtual Servers as Infrastructure Servers (print, file Servers)
- Upgrade schema, domain function level when it is required
- Align all activities with the Project manager and Wintel team across EU, remotely by telephone, instant messages and email
Skill profile:
- very good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012
- Senior System administration skills and practice in doing: DC, DNS, DHCP, AD services, security (ssh, ssl, tokenizing, etc.)
- General knowledge in: network, TCP/IP, Firewall
- Wide-ranged of experiences in VMWare vSphere, operation of DB, web server, file server
- Experiences in Application Support, communication with application and business owners
- skills in writing concepts
