Description
Currently require an SC Cleared Wintel Engineer, to assist my client on a short term contract opportunity due to commence March 2020 and continue until the end of May 2020, with view for possible further extension. This role will be based on site at the clients offices in Glasgow.
Due to the nature of the role and the time scale and requirements issued by the client, candidates have been advised to hold current and active SC Clearance.
Please note, this role will fall inside of IR35.

Role Description:
- Provides technical expertise for appropriate level distributed systems environments on issues related to Servers, local services, data centers, server configuration, and to ensure that client needs are met.
- Participates in requirements definition, specification, design, development, and integration of Microsoft Windows systems and on projects to ensure services adhere to clien specifications.
- Tests, integrates, maintains, and addresses escalated problems related to Wintel systems for smaller sized projects, including testing and integrating hardware and software, using appropriate resources.
- Provide configuration management, inventory management, fault management, and trouble management support on already established Servers or networks. Supports maintenance and upgrades of Wintel computer environments.
- Performs risk and consequence assessment for projects; assists in identifying cost reduction opportunities to safeguard company and client interests.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide configuration management, inventory management, fault management, and trouble management support on already established Wintel Servers and desktop devices. Supports periodic maintenance and upgrades of Wintel computer environments.
Typical Outputs and Deliverables:
- Coordinates with other technical staff in providing clients and customer with appropriate level of support for all account services.
Desirable Skills:
- Four or more years of related experience in Windows Server , Active Directory, Citrix, Vmware Experience
- Experience working with computer server hardware, operating systems, and specific applications within Wintel systems environments
- Experience working with systems management frameworks, protocols, and tools including SCCM
