WordPress/PHP developer

Our offices are located throughout North America, so collaboration remotely is a regular occurrence. Preference would be Denver or Colorado Springs, CO for meeting availability. Projects are managed primarily on Basecamp. We have a contract position available for a WordPress/PHP Developer. Would work directly with the Corporate Web Manager.

Responsibilities
- Maintaining and updating 3 existing WordPress sites
- Working with internal team and external design firm to implement page layouts, graphic elements and branding initiatives
- Coding WordPress templates from a well-commented PSD file
- Debugging, extending & creating WordPress plugins
- Integrating recommendations from external SEO company
Required Skills
The perfect code-candidate will be able to do the following:
- Communicate clearly through both written and verbal communication
- Develop user-friendly solutions
- Create client-friendly CMS experiences through a customized admin interface
- Work with existing WordPress plugins such as Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
- Show extensive experience with WordPress architecture, custom content types, and plugins
- Optimize and debug sites
- Update WordPress installs and plugins
- Convert designs from PSD to HTML & CSS
- Write standards-compliant HTML
- Have intermediate level or higher mastery of CSS
- Be familiar with LESS and/or SASS
- Have experience with version control (Git preferred)
- Work with detail-oriented coding practices (syntax, naming conventions, comments, etc…)
- Appreciate great design and User Experience
- Work comfortably in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
Bonus Skills
- Full LAMP stack experience and can configure / maintain a server
- Google Analytics and AdWords API experience
- Experience with frameworks such as Bootstrap, Foundation, CodeIgniter, etc.
