For one of our clients in Limburg, The Netherlands, we are looking for a Sr. MS SQL Specialist

Our client is currently working on the establishment of a Software Defined Infrastructures (SDI). For this we are currently looking for a Senior MS SQL Specialist that can contribute to fully automate the MS SQL platform, in other words the development of a Database-As-A-Service (DBAAS). In combination with many other services this DBAAS together is to form a DevOps Ready Data Center (DRDC).
As Senior MS SQL Specialist you are responsible for the design, development, and testing of a MS SQL environment.
Some tasks you perform this function
- Provide advise for current project-team with the transition to a DRDC
- Integration of MS SQL platform to DRDC
- Develop a Database-As-A-Service (DBAAS)
To qualify for the this function, you meet the following profile
- You have a bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- You have at least 3 years as MS SQL specialist/expert
- You have extensive knowledge of Puppet
- You have extensive experience with MS SQL 2014, SQL Always On and Cloud Standards
- You have experience working in a Scrum team
- You have experience with the transition to DevOps Ready Data Center (DRDC)
- You are fluent in English both written and spoken
- You have strong analytical skills, communication skills, and able to cope with working under pressure
- You are a team player and have a hands-on and no-nonsense mentality.
In this role you work closely with the Database Architect and MS SQL Manager. In addition, you provide support where necessary and you advise the project staff regarding the transition to DRDC.
