Zscaler Support Engineer

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires a Zscaler Support Engineer to be based at their client's office in Coventry, UK.

The role of the Zscaler Support Engineer offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join a growing team.

This is a hybrid role where you can work 1 day remotely and 4 days from office.

This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start ASAP

Day rate: Competitive Market rate

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide second line phone/email consultation to independently debug complex security/network problems.
  • May participate in a 24x7 Support Operation and 24x7 on-call rotation.
  • Interface with Engineering and assist the customer with testing or troubleshooting.
  • Reproduce customer issues to verify problems and provide feedback to Engineering and Operations teams.
  • Create entries in our technical support on-line database to accurately document any incident resolution that is not found in our knowledge base.
  • Understand the product direction and customer use-cases and provide input on product & code changes through all points of the product cycle
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Assist in developing on-going training programs for the department.
  • Promote a team environment by assisting and contributing to fellow Zscaler employees whenever necessary to enhance the professional development of everyone within the organization.
  • The successful candidate will be familiar with receiving, investigating, triaging, and responding to incidents in service now tool daily for their relevance and urgency including any escalations from junior members of the team.
  • Overseeing and configuring Zscaler security tool and use these tools to carry out in-depth threat intelligence analysis to find the perpetrator, the type of incidents, and the data or systems impacted.
  • You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels and have an enthusiasm for their field combined with a passion to learn.
  • Ability to mentor other engineers on advanced troubleshooting, debugging and case management skills.

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Zscaler products managing BAU incidents.
  • They will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels (including as a key influencer and subject matter expert)
  • Familiarity with Azure Cloud Platform (Or similar)
  • Knowledge of working with cloud providers such as Office 365
  • Knowledge of working with SaaS, IaaS and other 'SaaS' solutions
  • Have knowledge of IT governance frameworks, eg, GDPR, ISO 27001, NIS
  • Working in an Agile/SAFE environment
