Description
A Client and Server Side Java Developer with extensive knowledge in Java technologies, NetBeans and Eclipse is required to work as part of a team of experts for a leading Air Traffic Management client in the Netherlands.
Desired Profile:
-
At least 5 years of practical experience in developing high performance multi-threaded graphical client applications in Java in a Linux environment

At least 3 years of practical experience in developing RMI service interfaces for data visualisation applications

Knowledge of developing and maintaining large-scale (>100kSLOC) software and documentation for operational use in accordance with recognized industrial safety standards

Ability to work with a customer and team oriented approach in an international environment
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Practical experience in analysing and discussing operational and technical specifications
Desirable background:
-
Background knowledge in ATC and/or ATFCM/ASM to understand what are the Flight Plan, Route Network, Controlled Sectors, CHMI tool, Air Traffic Flow Management, Demand - Capacity balancing, Controller Workload, Sector Capacity, Traffic Complexity, Airspace Management etc.

Practical experience in developing ETL data manipulation and interfaces to data sources in databases/data files (XML, csv)
