My client,a global digital commerce agency seeking a talented Senior Hybris Senior who is genuinely passionate about the Hybris eCommerce platform and will be proactive in championing the hybris area with maximum technical comprehension and expertise.
This will be an ideal prospect for an individual who has a background in web application development, coupled with good knowledge of the Spring Framework (MVC/IoC). You will predominantly be involved in projects and products that will define the direction of the web.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading small teams of Software Engineers - taking ownership for the quality of the team's coding output, managing workload vs. resource, planning sprints and managing in a manner that maintains the company strategy
Working in an Agile (scrum) and fast-paced environment where you will be required to work closely with the business and respond to changing priorities
Providing technical leadership and be seen as the go-to person and the technical guru of the development team
Directing a technical development team and thinking creatively to deliver technical designs for any enhancements or changes required or recommended
Being responsible for code review
Delivering code enhancements and managing the development process
Heavy customisation of the Hybris framework that suits the business' needs

The successful Hybris Technical Lead/Senior Java Software Engineer will have:
Hybris experience or a passion for Java development that you would like to transfer from a similar eCommerce background (Oracle ATG, IBM WebSphere, Magento, Demandware)
Experience working in an Agile development team (with a combination of external suppliers/3rd parties)
Java development experience including Spring Framework (MVC, IoC, Security, Batch, integration, AOP etc.)
Experience of test driven development and database architecture and design
The ability to own the development process through from initial concept to production deployment
A logical approach to problem solving with high level OOAD and programming skills
