Mobile App DeveloperContract Length: 3 Months
Contract Rate: £300-£350
Contract Location: Birmingham
Job Role:
To create cross platform applications for iOS and Android smartphones.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to use a creative brief and design specification to create original applications for iOS and Android devices.
- Creating applications for iOS and Android tablets and smartphones
- You will be confident and comfortable working across all areas of application development - concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores, and support
- Work with external specialist companies to achieve commitment and contribution into our appsYou'll need to be able to build apps that work across platforms. The following skills are considered essential for the role.
iOS
- Skills Required:
- OO design and programming skills in Objective C
- Familiar with iOS SDK (UIKit, Cocoa Touch, Core Data, Core Location)
- Familiar with xcode
Android
- OO design and programming skills in Java (J2EE/J2ME)
- Familiar with the Android SDK
- Knowledge of SQLite, MySQL or similar dB system
- Familiar with Eclipse
Desirable skills, but non-essential skills:
- Unity SDK
- Understanding of other compiled languages
- Experience on web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)
- Good understanding of OO programming and design patterns
- Good understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax and PHP
- Experience building web and native apps
- Experience using social media APIs
- Ads integration using a 3rd party server (DART)
- Using version control
- Debugging and optimisation skills
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
