A self-starting, delivery focussed senior Technical Author/Technical Writer is urgently required to start immediately to develop documentation and potentially video guides to support the release of their major new E-commerce software platform and it's customisation Toolkit. They need someone who is creative and hard-working who can liaise with Developer and Architecture Leads to produce both Technical Specification documents and a User guide (aimed at Power Users to help with the modular configuration and customisation of the E-commerce UI/UX and Toolkit). They need someone who can pragmatically produce a fit for purpose product within a hard-deadline environment. Choose your tools, they are product agnostic.
This is a next generation software system developed in Open Source (Angular, Java, MongoDB, Linux) being produced by a top flight development group so they require people who can get their head around new concepts (not deeply technical necessarily but functionally sophisticated) to develop the Guides in multiple formats - Video format would work well to reduce dependence on Screen shots but written documentation will also be required for both the guides and obviously the technical specifications.
Scope for c 4 months initially but there is a long term need for those interested in working in a successful, well-funded but genuinely fast moving and dynamic environment where innovation is constant and essential. Suffice to say your background will demonstrate delivery of similar guides and specs for commercial software (ie software house environment, not just in-house applications) to tight deadlines with either understanding of E-commerce software functionality and/or the Opensource MEAN Stack or Full Stack Java based cloud applications useful.
