We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join a Multi national company based in Galway. The candidate must have 5+ years experience and have worked well with automated test and Scripting languages such as JAVA/SQL.Please see job description below. Skills and Technologies
*Familiar with Scripting Languages for writing automated test cases
*BDD and automated testing and processes, Continuous delivery (Jenkins)
*Familiar with REST API Protocol and JSON,
*Spring XD, Hadoop and Spark
*Java (Groovy would be good)
*Experience Working with DevOps
*Familiar with SQL or similar database query technologies
*Data Analysis Skills to query and drill down into data
*Knowledge of test management systems including defect tracking, reporting and metrics
*Understanding of all testing types: Unit testing, functional/acceptance tests, integration testing, automation
*Familiar with the full project life cycle incorporating requirements gathering, design, development, system testing and user acceptance testing

Primary Responsibilities
*Create, manage and promote Testing Strategy for Catalyst
*Create test cases to ensure thorough testing of business requirements in a fast-paced environment
*Test case execution, defect documentation and tracking, and regression through all system tiers, using appropriate techniques and automation & tracking tools
*Identify and automate a suite of test cases suitable for an automated regression test suite
*Proactively communicate with developers and business analysts to resolve issues or questions pertaining to test creation or execution
*Provide accurate daily status reporting with Scrum Master, including issues blocking progress when appropriate
Education and Experience:
*5+ years of QA experience.
*2+ years of recent experience in leading software QA teams and hands-on test execution.
*Experience in Agile
*Experienced in testing large-scale enterprise software, with preference to individuals with a background in financial services
*Experience with test automation
*Financial Services and Corporate Actions experience a plus
