Description

Position Summary
As a WCS Developer you will work individually and within teams to analyze needs, determine requirements, develop applications, and maintain or extend applications to support Client's E-commerce platform. Focus will be on developing, extending, and integrating solutions using Java, Oracle, WCS, and TIBCO technologies. Success in this role requires a self-driven individual with very strong problem solving skills, an aptitude for complex systems, a high attention to detail, and strong team collaboration skills.
Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, and maintains systems that conform to Client's information technology principles, architecture, and strategies
  • Participates in design sessions and provides input on the software solution.
  • Debugs problems with information systems using a variety of analytical skills, techniques, and resources
  • Provides training, technical support, and documentation of information systems to peers and end users
  • Routinely communicates status (problems encountered, and time remaining to complete) to the team and stakeholders
  • Develop and test new functionality, ensure a high level of application availability, and provide support to other IT staff
  • Influence new designs, architectures, standards, and methods for the performance and reliability of large-scale systems: web, mobile, native apps
  • Troubleshoot issues across the entire stack: hardware, software, application, network, database
  • Collaborate with Development and Infrastructure partners to build resilient systems and repeatable processes
  • Document system design and procedures

Qualification

  • 5-7 years as a WebSphere Commerce Server Developer working with versions 7 and 8
  • 4 years of Java experience, J2EE and Struts
  • 2 years SQL experience, preferred Oracle.
  • Experience in Configuration and Environment Management, automation, and related tools and technologies, building Continuous Delivery platforms
  • Self-motivated team player, ability to perform at a high level with minimal direction
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to work well in a diverse, team-focused environment with other SREs, Engineers, Product Managers, QA Engineers, and Developers
  • Systematic problem solving approach, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive
