Equity Derivatives Front Office Production Support.
Our client, a Tier 1 Investment Bank is currently looking for an Equity Derivatives Front Office Production Support who will be responsible for delivering high quality application support to traders and Back Office groups by following the group's defined guidelines.
The main responsibilities associated with the role include understanding and ahearing to the groups standards to ensure the delivery of support for risk applications across the Equity Derivatives business and providing any necessary assistance to Global Market Equities application users in relations to their application usage. The successful candidate will be working closely with traders, development and support teams.
Job requirements:

Ensuring high availability of trading/order management systems at both client and server level

Troubleshooting problems with data feeds between applications and/or market data sources

Verifying data integrity and consistency between systems

Providing ad-hoc reports to different business areas

Assisting users to use their applications effectively and providing ad-hoc training
-
Solving a variety of user problems relating to the application clients, Servers, data, user administrators, usage and functionality.
Key skills:

UNIX and SQL - ESSENTIAL, able to write basic scripts

Perl and/or Java
-
Confidence to deal with senior users
-
Background in investment banking and/equity trading

Excellent communication
-
Programming experience
