Description
Global IT Consulting company based in Dublin is currently undertaking a huge IT transformation programme to create a new retail bank, and requires a number of Solutions Architects to aid in this process.
You will play a critical role in supportng the delivery of a coherent architecture and technology road-map for Mainframe technologies.
The position
- Ensure the successful implementation of road-map through the definition of a common set of design and process standards, driving the adoption of these standards across the enterprise
- Lead project teams comprised of resources from multiple business areas and disciplines to deliver comprehensive solutions
- Provides leadership and expertise to multiple teams in broad technical areas on complex organization wide projects
- Works closely with project teams on their solution designs to ensure effective translation of the solution architecture into solutions
- Architects, documents and designs solutions to complex business requirements in accordance with enterprise application and technology roadmaps, principles, standards and guidelines
- Identifies, discusses and decides on exceptions to Enterprise Architecture principles and standards during the course of solution design and development; being the design authority that defines best practice
- Acts as escalation layer for architectural issues in related projects
- Assists project leadership in designing the approach for projects, including selection of technologies, setting technical directions, estimating/planning and directing developers
This role is for someone with the technical know-how to establish how to sequence and integrate the already agreed solution into a number of different applications. Whilst also having the communication and influencing skills to challenge the already agreed requirements if needs be.
