Solution Architect - The Hague - Contract - €540 per day - 12 months +
My client, a global consulting and technology company, has an opportunity for a Solution Architect to work at a prestigious European institution, based in The Hague, Netherlands, on a contract basis.
The successful Solution Architect will work on the client's Knowledge and Information Management Environment (KIME) project by implementing the end-to-end management of internal and external citations including:
  • Consolidating the usage of KIME for citation management
  • Delivering a set of API's to allow the successful operation of citations
  • Migrating existing citations from the Legacy systems to KIME
  • Integrating KIME in the flows of data acquisition and correction
You will act as the overall architecture lead for the KIME project, owning the end-to-end definition of the solution for the project across all architecture layers (business, information, application and infrastructure). Project managers will be supported in delivering a solution that adheres to the principles, policies and patterns established in the enterprise architecture, with alternative solutions being proposed depending on business automation needs. The Solution Architect will also design, support, test and correct document customisations whilst taking ownership of the required architecture governance deliverables.
Skills
The Solution Architect will have skills in the following areas:
  • Experience in data architecture and large data management systems (eg MongoDB)
  • Knowledge of TOGAF and Archimate
  • Basic knowledge of Mainframe software (Z/OS, MVS, OMVS, Batch, CICS, MQSeries, DB2, Cobol)
  • Knowledge of middle-tier (web services, web clients, Java, Groovy, GRAILS, JBoss)
  • Deep understanding of authorisation mechanisms supporting fine-and coarse-grained authorisation
  • Expert knowledge of J2EE technologies
  • Expert knowledge of REST architectural constraints and development of Restful web services
  • Knowledge of SOAP web services
  • Experience with externalising authorisation from Java applications through authorisation engines and/or business rules engines
  • The ability to create and maintain technical documentation
  • Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
