Calypso Developer/Hedge fund/Contract/6 months rolling/£6-650/day
A calypso developer is needed by of the world's largest Hedge funds, this is will be a role working out of their London office. The hedge fund is currently going through a Calypso v15 upgrade and have a string of associated projects.
Requirements:
-Good Academic background with a strong engineering experience
-Programming background in Java/Calypso API/Oracle DBMS - these are essential
-Ability to presents examples of applied creative thinking, innovation and problem solving skills
-Commercial experience of multi-threaded software development
-Exposure to high quality current software development practices with agile software development, unit testing, continuous integration and dev/qa/prod release procedures
-Strong experience of the Calypso application (preferred areas, Front Office functionality, Official PnL, Treasury)
-Experience working and communicating with IT professionals and end users at all seniority levels
