Software Development Engineer in Test - £425/day - Gibraltar - 3 Month Contract
The Role
A fantastic contract opportunity has arisen to work with one on my key clients, an established gaming company, for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test from their Gibraltar base.
Joining an established team ramping up their operations for the start of the football season, the right tester will be a driven, outgoing individual whose integration and communication with team members including developers, BAs, PMs and other stakeholders is key.
The main technical areas of responsibility are Front End testing requirements, designing and creating automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver in a Java environment, with skills and experience in these areas are key. A highly Agile, Scrum focused team, you will be taking part in daily stand ups with up to 30-40 releases per week across the company. A view to bring in Selenium WebDriver IO based around JavaScript is viewed, so experience would be beneficial but not necessary.
Key Requirements
- This role is based out of the Gibraltar office, and with no option for home working there must be a plan/commitment to be based in/around Gibraltar for the full length of the contract. Commuting back to the UK every weekend isn't feasible due to travel situation in the summer.
- Prior experience in designing and creating automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver in Java.
- An ambitious, driven attitude to work, with a desire to succeed individually and as a team.
- A background in major E-commerce test projects (previous clients/projects) booking.com/moneysupermarket/stagecoach etc.
- Experience with Selenium IO/Javascript/Maven is desired but not necessary.
A rare opportunity for the right tester to work for a prestigious client in one of the most beautiful locations in Europe, working with some incredible technologies and some great technical teams who have a welcoming, friendly culture with great professional and social attitudes. The client will contribute £750 per month towards accommodation and also provide your initial flight out to Gibraltar and final return flight back to the UK.
