Description
My client is looking for a Grid Consultant to work for a Tier 1 Bank in London.
It is a hands on technical role for an experienced grid engineer providing technical design, build work and developer consultancy for the clients Grid platform.
You will be required to improve the management and performance of Platform Symphony based grid applications. You should be able to demonstrate expertise in IBM Platform Symphony/Spectrum Compute in both development of applications (C++/Java) as well as support operations.
Day to day activities include advising business application development teams on how to optimise their grid applications, recommend and develop improvements to the management toolkits that the client is improving upon, provide local Symphony expertise as L3 support.
Skills Required:
- Expertise in IBM Platform Symphony
- Grid application development using Symphony
- C++
- Unix/Linux/Perl/Python
Ideally:
- Linux performance optimisation
- Kdb/Q programming
