Currently seeking a iPAAS Technical Engineer, to fulfil a contractual requirement for my client based at their offices in Nottingham, due to commence ASAP and continue until the end of March 2018, with view for possible further extension.

Due to the nature of the role and the time scale and requirements issued by the client candidates have been advised to hold current SC clearance for this role, or be willing and eligible to obtain clearance at the clients request.

Job Description:

This role is acting as a Specialist level Technical Engineer within the Integration Domain. You will be required to manage Projects through the full life cycle working with SOA principles, Agile methodolgy and technologies such as Dell Boomi, Java, XML, SOAP, JSON and REST as part of a team of developers ensuring project delivery on time and to budget.

The Technical Engineer should be able to move between design, supporting the delivery team through QA, guidance and problem-solving and leading a development team when required.

Responsibilities include

  • Interact with the customer to gain an understanding of the business environment, design requirements, technical context and organizational strategic direction. Defines scope, plans and deliverables for assigned projects.
  • Produce relevant design documentation in accordance with project requirements, working closely with client, 3rd Party vendors, architects and other teams.
  • Demonstrate Stakeholder & Vendor Management.
  • Design Integrations solutions ensuring from an Enterprise/End-to-End perspective the most efficient Integration solution proposed.
  • Create Integration Service specfications, WSDLs and schemas.
  • Effectively communicate design proposal to the key stakeholders. Lead the delivery of the solution and ensure stakeholders are informed of progress
  • Support releases from requirements stage through to implementation and deployment phases help resolve issues during the release.
  • Work with the DXC, Dell Boomi and client stakeholders including architects, developers and project managers.
  • Collect, identify, define and organize detailed user and information technology requirements.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with others in analysing collected requirements to produce plans and identify solutions to meet customer needs and expectations
  • Confirm and prioritizes project plans and deliverables with the delivery manager and customer.
  • Participate in business and technical information technology solution implementations, upgrades, enhancement and conversions.
  • Understand and use appropriate tools to analyze, identify and resolve business and or technical problems.
  • Control project requirements, scope and change management issues.
  • Assist leadership in determining tactical and strategic direction of the Integration Domain on the account.
  • Work with others to develop and propose new business and technical opportunities to leadership and/or the customer.
  • Contribute to the quality standards for Dell Boomi development and participate in their enforcement. This includes architectural principles, design principles and patterns and coding standards.

Essential experience:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Strong EAI experience
  • Experience leading and supporting development teams
  • Full Project Lifecycle experience
  • Experience involving the Dell Boomi product set is highly deseriable
  • XML Technologies - XML, XSD, XPATH, XSL, XQuery
  • OS -Linux, we use Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Languages - Java
  • Databases - Oracle 11g, SQL, PL/SQL
