Assignment Overview

Exciting opportunity for a Continuous Integration Engineer to join an organisation based in Brussels for a long term mission. The purpose of the programme where this role will sit is to optimise the build, test processes and supporting tools which follow the DevOps principles.

In this role he/she must have an end-to-end software engineering view and will work on:

  • Optimizing and Upgrading the existing of the Continuous Build & Integration Platform
  • Proposing/implementing new and innovative ways to improve efficiency and productivity of development teams (ie agile squads).

Job Function:

The existing Continuous Integration Platform is based on Jenkins and supports Java/iOS/Android/ESB. It covers:

  • Continuous build/integration/automatic deployment
  • Code scanning tools (quality/security)
  • Collaboration tools (GitLab/SVN)

The main objective of this position is to maintain the existing Continuous Integration Platform and upgrade it to latest Jenkins 2.x. Also actively participate on the construction of a new and more flexible CIP Platform, allowing teams to be independent and autonomous on configuring their own continuous pipeline, as well as to extend the CIP to enable new state-of-art architectural patterns (eg containerized micro-services)

Experience Required

  • Experience in implementation of continuous build, integration and deployment systems using Jenkins is a MUST
  • Experience with agile methodology
  • Experience in the administration, setup and maintenance of Jenkins as continuous build and integration platform
  • Experience with continuous build platforms (SVN/Git, Maven, Nexus, Jenkins)
  • Experience with containerization (Docker)
  • Experience with Scripting languages for automation
  • Experience on Windows platforms
  • Experience on Linux platforms
  • Experience on Mac platforms is a plus
  • Experience in code scanning tools (Sonar/Fortify) is a plus
  • Experience in mobile development tools for Android and IOS is a plus
  • Experience in Java development is a plus
