Job Description:

Performs engineering assignments as part of a work team involved in the planning, organizing, and developing of complicated projects. Requires ability to use and apply extensive knowledge for a specific engineering field. May supervise other project professionals or technicians. 7-10 years of experience

Collaborates with developers and clients to develop solutions as part of Focus rooms. Participate in the training and support of lesser-experienced programmers. Explain logical and technical situations so that the most efficient approach is taken; also explain the reasoning being the specified solution. Develop new solutions and enhance existing systems according to assigned project and business requirement, in accordance with established departmental standards and guidelines. Job Duties:

Develop new solutions and enhance existing systems according to assigned project and business requirement, in accordance with established departmental standards and guidelines. Responsible for researching, analyzing, coding, and testing all changes, drawing on user and technical resources to successfully complete the requests. Must Have Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in programming with emphasis to develop Server side Java on Linux, with strong emphasis on RMI, Oracle, PL/SQL.
  • Strong background in Network protocols including SNMP, Rest API.
  • Experience Java, Java script most importantly react.js is a must.
  • Strong Linux skills a must with experience in DevOps tool sets (Confluence/Jenkins/Gits/Stash)
  • Strong capabilities in shell/bash and Perl scripting,
  • Able to work independently and with a DevOps/Agile team as necessary.

Desired Skills:

  • IPlanet/Weblogic, experience helpful.
  • Cloud technologies like Docker, AWS, Openstack, or other cloud solutions a definite plus.
  • Maven/Ant/Git/Stash experience is highly desired

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field

REQUIRED SHIFT:

Standard, flexible, Mon- Friday and occasional weekend work; must be willing to work with VDSI teams (early hours in US) and also must be willing to work with all the teams across eastern, central, and Mountain Time zones in US.
