Description

DevOps Engineer

For one of my globally leading banking clients I am looking for a DevOps Engineer with good KYC (know your customer) such as FATCA, FEC and CRS expertise in addition to skills & expertise with:
* Knowledge of Linux environments, bash Scripting etc
* Knowledge of Apache/tomcat
* Knowledge of and/or experience with TIBCO BW, Java and Angular/Polymer) is a pre;
* Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery using modern OSS tools such as Jenkins, Nolio, Ansible, Docker, Maven, Gitlab and Artifactory is a pre;
* Agile & Scrum methodology and Continuous Delivery
* Capacity/Availability Monitoring, knowledge of well-known OSS tools in this area (Logstash, Graphite, Grafana, Seyren, etc.) is a pre;
* You handle application risk controls in an efficient way, proactively contributing to prevent security and operational risks;

Also, you are fluent in English, both spoken and in writing and are the same in Dutch or learning.

You will be based in Leeuwarden with occasional travel to Amsterdam and will be working in a multidisciplinary team which has the responsibility for the 24 hour operational stability and availability of our clients applications on the D-T-A-P environment 7 days per week. Therefore flexibility to work extra hours when required is a must!

You will be working with Continuous Delivery Engineering practices. You will manage various TIBCO and (Java)API/Front End applications and therefore have prior experience in this area.

Your main tasks will be:
* You actively participate in the Scrum process.
* Make sure that the application is always available, and by always, we mean 24x7.
* Deploy changes/releases and produce the deliverables/evidence required by several related ITIL processes (eg incident -, configuration -, change management, yes!)
* Automate deployments as part of the continuous delivery.
* Test the performance of web-applications and apply tuning.
* Define dependencies with other teams and translate these to user stories.
* Make sure the requirements are that easy the Product Owner understands them.
* Support risk procedures and processes.
* Configure and maintain application and chain monitoring (with ELK-stack).
* Define and/or support chain, acceptance, performance, scalability and resilience testing.
* You will play a positive role with your DevOps team growing the experience and knowledge within your team.
* Able to communicate in an open way, giving feedback and helping your colleagues to improve in both technical and personal perspective.

Contract: 8 Months + extension
Location: Leeuwarden, but you must be prepared to incidentally travel to Amsterdam.
Rates: Negotiable.
