Scala/Akka Developer - Central London - 6 months - £550 per day
Large international travel company base in central London (nr Oxford Street) require a talented Scala developer to help with a company wide re-platform. You will be joining an award winning technology team who have won awards for their E-commerce site innovation and usability.
The key technology for this role is Scala with Akka framework. It's a Java environment.
Essential Skills
- Strong core Java experience (Java 8 is desired) with good understanding of OOP, FP concepts & various design patterns.
- Scala/Akka
- Design and development of distributed, scalable and highly available systems.
- Experience with domain driven design.
- Experience with Microservices development and design patterns.
- Strong Experience in RESTful API design & web security.
- Experience with NoSQL databases
- Good understanding of different Agile methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, TDD, BDD, Continuous delivery.
This project is envisaged to last for 2 years and the contract will be on a 6 month rolling basis. The rate goes up to 550 per day depending on experience, the location is central London near to Oxford street.
