Description
Resource 1 is in need of a Sr. Java/Web Application Developer for a 6-month+ contract in Chicago, IL. Selected individual will help improve the client's Trade Reconciliation, PNL, Compliance and Report Automation systems. Would be involved in design, development and support of these systems, and will work with traders, compliance and Back Office teams to gather and validate requirements. Will primarily work on a new application built in Angular (using Typescript), Vertx and SQL Server. Additional projects will include enhancements to existing applications and re-writes of old applications. These applications are a mix of Java, Python and T-SQL. Selected individual must have at least 3 years of experience with Java, strong web development experience and working knowledge of SQL Server, Windows and Linux. Experience with Angular (2.0+), Typescript and Vertx is preferred. Experience with Python is a plus. Any experience with MOBO (Middle Office/Back Office) touch points would also be a plus. MOBO are the systems that sit behind the client's trading applications that clear and settle trades. Financial or trading industry experience would be a plus as well.
