Description
Resource 1 is in need of a Sr. Java/Web Application Developer for a 6-month+ contract in Chicago, IL.
Selected individual will help improve the client's Trade Reconciliation, PNL, Compliance and Report Automation systems. Would be involved in design, development and support of these systems, and will work with traders, compliance and Back Office teams to gather and validate requirements. Will primarily work on a new application built in Angular (using Typescript), Vertx and SQL Server. Additional projects will include enhancements to existing applications and re-writes of old applications. These applications are a mix of Java, Python and T-SQL. Selected individual must have at least 5 years of full-stack web application development utilizing Java/J2EE and working knowledge of SQL Server, Windows and Linux. Experience with Angular (2.0+), Typescript and Vertx is strongly preferred, along with other Front End UI technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Experience with Python is a plus. Any experience working within the Trading industry and knowledge of Back Office applications that deal with trade reconciliation, compliance and reporting is preferred.
