Data Scientist/Operations Research Analyst
Exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on applying advanced quantitative models to improve operating efficiency. This position entails strong collaboration between the developers, Operations Research Analysts and database developers.
Once hired you will meet with business partners and internal customers to gather requirements and collect data and will collaborate with development and database teams to create solutions. You will use data mining packages like CPLEX and R to produce predictive analytics and make recommendations based on your findings. You will work closely with development team who uses Java and C++ for Back End development.
This is a 12 - 18 month contract located in Midtown. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team of Operations Research professionals. The position is located within close proximity to Marta train station.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Masters or PHD in operations research, industrial engineering, computer science, IEOR, etc)
- CPLEX or R or similar- (Commercial Optimization Solver and Data Mining packages)
- Good communication/collaboration skills to gather requirements and present findings
PREFERRED:
- Java or C++
