Senior Java Developer (Data) Contract Dublin 6-12 Months.
My client a leading global firm is in urgent need of a talented and experienced Java Developer to join their team on a contract basis that is likely to extend up to 18 months
My client tech group supports a large important division in the firm and is part of a global team based in Dublin, London, India & the US. This role is based in Dublin. The role is suited to a strong Java developer with web technology experiences such as JavaScript or Angular. Experience working with Kafka messaging queues and Oracle DB are desirable. Understanding of Agile SDLC practices is important, the group follows the SAFe agile methodology with quarterly planning events with global teams, analytical skills and a highly professional attitude are essential.Candidates should be proactive, ability to work with minimum supervision when given a goal, have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, assertiveness and initiative - Candidates with experience with Capital Markets products and Real Time trading systems would be preferred but not essential.
Successful candidates will have the following essential skills
Java 8 (including Spring experience), Angular 2 or similar Javascript framework. Kafka (or other similar message broker). You will have experience in developing data streaming applications. You will have RDBMS Development and Test Driven Development experience. It would be nice to have Python development, C# (.Net), Experience in Agile development and SCRUM practices, Experience of capital market products and Real Time trading systems.
