EXPERT ANDROID DEVELOPER - 12 MONTH CONTRACT - JAVA/SDK/KOTLIN

Our client is looking for a contractor to join their team, working on their large-scale enterprise android applications, this role is in no way for the faint hearted! You'll be a master at Java (7&8) & Android SDK. This is an integral part of this role, you'll be use to working with a large code base and be able to pickup code bases fairly quickly.
What you will do
- Develop Android applications on an enterprise level
- Work on the latest Android architecture paradigms and technical challenges
- Continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies
- Work in a lean agile environment with a flat hierarchy
- Develop Android prototypes quickly
- Play a key role in how the product evolves and our technology emerges
- Have strong influence in further refining and evolving the product feature
- Build high quality, performing, well tested applications and inspire those around you to do the same
Who you are
You must
- Be an expert Android Developer
- Demonstrate good knowledge of general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
- Have good knowledge of Android Material Design Guidelines
- Have excellent knowledge of Device Administration APIs
- Have expert knowledge of Java and the Android SDK
- Have solid understanding of the full development life cycle
- Be a champion for best practices (SOLID, agile, test methodologies etc.)
- Have excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Be able to define acceptance criteria for development tasks/stories
- Be able to estimate effort for development tasks/stories
- Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
What is nice to have
- Good knowledge of continuous integration, delivery and automation technologies
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Inversion of control and dependency injection
- Experience with Kotlin
This role is based in Amsterdam, NL and would require onsite working.
