Description

Michael Bailey Associates are currently recruiting for a Java Developer to join a Leading Financial Organisation in Zurich, Switzerland.

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Main responsibilities will include:

The demanding tasks consist on one hand of development work in the Java environment.

You will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Investigate and analyse changes, provide estimates and solutions; challenge Vendor estimates and solutions; closely coordinate discussions and solution finding with IT and business experts
  • Java development / architecture work within a Trade Track 2, FACT and FactNet applications
  • Drafting the concept of vital extensions to the commodity trade finance landscape
  • Implementation of database (Oracle) scripts and database analysis
  • Integration of software changes & test these changes
  • Closely collaboration with relevant businesses.
  • Quality Assurance of all deliverables (software components, test cases, documentation, etc.): make sure that quality of delivered items does not impact production stability; support/enhance all processes in place to guarantee outstanding quality


The skills required will be:
  • Profound and demonstrated experience in enterprise software development (Java/Java EE), preferably in an agile environment
  • Experience with database (Oracle) handling such as writing queries and scripts
  • You are real passionate about development and project management methodologies such as Agile / Scrum, continuous integration, development
  • Experience in commodity trade finance and/or Factoring business would be a desirable
