Job Title: Python Developer
Location: Fully Remote
Salary/Rate: Market Rate (Inside IR35)

An experienced Python Developer is required for a globally recognised consultancy. This will be working for one of their health care clients on an initial 3 month contract.

The role will sit INSIDE of IR35 but the client are paying market rate.
Remote based work for the whole contract.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

1. Develop Python function to parse a complex Excel Spreadsheet containing reference data - read, validate, transform, construct SQL and write to DB.
2. Assist in the specification of and to develop json extracts of the database for API consumption + associated release notes against baselined versions.
3. Assist in the specification of and to develop a read only web interface to view reference data versions, deltas and release notes (inc. access controls)
4. Assist in the specification of and to develop API's and an SDK to enable consuming system access to the reference data.
5. Assist in the specification of and to develop a templated capability to enable users to request or change reference data and for that data to be both validated and ingested into the reference data service.
6. Wrapping of all service components developed in the existing DevOps pipeline, ensuring the solution is robust, maintainable and aligns to the release management processes

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

1. Coding and testing software components using Python, HTML, Postgres (AWS Aurora), API and SDK (One in Python, one in Java)
2. Collaborating with Architects to assist in the design and functional behaviour of the solution
3. Development of test automation scripts for unit/component testing
4. Continuous integration in a Jenkins's build environment - This service will need to integrate into the existing pipeline
5. Attending estimation workshops and provide estimates to sprint or release planning sessions
6. The individual will be a key member of the team, primarily developing the solution but is also expected to be pro-active and innovative with sufficient experience to influence solution options/alternatives and direction.
