Data Engineers (Scala, Spark streaming, kafka)
Hands on Spark Streaming, Hadoop, Kafka and Scala or Java as primary language
Senior Data Engineer, contract, work from home, strong Spark streaming with Scala, Java or PySpark experience, Kafka
Experience in many of the following;
- Spark Streaming
- Scala ideally or Java development background environment
- Data Engineering tech; Spark Streaming, Hive, Kafka, NoSQL DBs, Mongo, HBase
- Data Platforms like Cloudera HDP, Databricks
- Cloud Data Platform development (ideally Azure, also GCP, AWS)
- DevOps culture, jenkins, k8s
- TDD/BDD methodologies, Git
- Data ingestion, data pipelines
6 months initial, likely long term extensions
INSIDE IR35 - this assignment will fall within scope of IR35 legislation and appropriate umbrella company should be utilised during this assignment.
