SCALA CONTRACTOR - 12 MONTH CONTRACT - £850 PAYE - FINTECH - LONDON.
Cititec are working with one of the most successful Fintech startups in the UK who spun off from a major Hedge Fund 3 years ago. They specialise in building integrated front to Back Office services to investment managers and are on the hunt for two Scala Engineers to join their Trading Technology team.
You will join a well-established development team who are responsible for market data and trade life cycle technologies, as well as handling outbound trade flows, building their brand new platform.
Your responsibilities.
- Involvement in handling performance improvements, new feature requirements and framework/library updates.
- Hands-on with DevOps mindset
- Work on the client's OMS and other applications
Technical Requirements.
- Hands-on experience with Scala
- Hands-on experience with Java
- Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with cloud (AWS)
- Experience with Microservice architecture (Spring, Spring-boot)
- Scala test, Mockito, JUnit, Scalaz
- SQL, MS SQL Server
- REST Services, CI/CD, Jenkins
Nice to have.
- Knowledge of finance and trading domain
- Understanding of functional programming
- Experience in development within a production environment with a DevOps mindset
