Ab Initio Developer (Hadoop)
Location: Sheffield with remote working
Duration: Initial 6-month contract
IR35 determination: Engagement via Umbrella/PAYE
Ab Initio Developer (Hadoop) required to join a financial services client based in Sheffield with remote working on an initial 6-month contract with the view to extend.
The role
As part of this opportunity, you will be working on a complex project, involving Metadata auto-discovery, Hadoop Big Data Platforms.
Responsibilities:
As part of your role, you will be responsible for:
- Building a Metadata repository using Ab Initio products.
- Analysis, architecture, and implementation tasks in relation to data management, data extraction, data quality, profiling and metadata.
- Collaborating with Java Developers, QA engineers, Project Managers, Systems Architects, and Business Analysts throughout the project life cycle.
Mandatory Skills
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Extensive experience of Ab Initio Metadata toolset.
- Experience of working with Hadoop and Big Data Platforms
- Strong deployment, development, design, software development life cycle and support of ETL processes.
- Documentation and presentation skills
- Experience of using Express IT and development of new templates.
