Description
Required for a fulltime, six month remote-based contract, a full stack Java developer with a focus on Back End.
Role:
Working with version 4 of the customers terminology management system, which is a web service with REST API and Angular on the client side. Version 4 is an upgrade of the current version 3. and is running in AWS cloud as well as private clouds.
Responsibilities:
- Be a part of team using agile development techniques
- Improve the existing source code, suggest new solutions and implement new functionality
Experience:
- Java SE at least 8
- Testing (unit testing, mock objects, integration testing)
- Spring framework (MVC, Data JPA, Boot) or similar
- Any kind API development (XML-RPC, REST or SOAP)
- MySQL or other relation databases
- SQL
- XML
- Good written and spoken English
In addition, any of the following are a bonus:
- Basic administering Linux, Windows skills
- Knowledge of any servlet container of Application Server (tomcat, jetty, jboss, glassfish, etc)
- Gradle, Maven or even Ant
- Elasticsearch, Lucene or any other search tool
- Spring, Hibernate and other Java libraries and frameworks
- Web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Angular and TypeScript, JQuery and Bootstrap for Legacy parts
