Description
Spectrum IT's Southampton Client are seeking an experienced Java Developer to undertake an initial 2 month contract. This is a hybrid working role with 2 days in the Southampton office per week and the rest remote/home working. The role has been determined Inside IR35 and would require the candidate to work via an umbrella company.
Scope Of Work/Project:
- Changes to allow Spring services running inKubernetes to handle IBMMQfailover
- Updates to Spring Beans
- Changes to Kubernetes configuration
- Modifications to Java, Spring and MQ configuration
- Modifications to allow Spring services running inKubernetes to gracefully disconnect from IBMMQ on shutdown
- Minor changes to Dockerfiles and Shell Scripts
- Modifications to Spring Beans
- Modifications to run Spring services inKubernetes with a non-root user
- Modifications to Dockerfiles
- Minor changes to Kubernetes configuration
- Updates to Gradle build files
- Source code management will be performed in Git
- Releases will be coordinated for development, test and production environments
- Deployments will be performed automatically through existing Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
- The changes will be verified in collaboration with the QA and Operations teams
