Description
We are recruiting for Java Developers on contract to work for a leading Military Missions organisation with the majority of the role being remote.
Duties to include:
Driving the development and testing of new features on the Mobile App
Development and integration of the REST API with the existing application
Taking an active role in an Agile-based development cycle, including daily team meetings and retrospectives, task estimation and prioritisation, planning, demonstration and reporting activities
Managing software releases and ensuring that application issues are resolved in a timely manner
Communicating on a daily basis with key internal and external stakeholders
Required skills, qualifications and experience:
Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle and Agile methodologies
Web application development using Java (including JSP/JSF), JavaScript, HTML and CSS (SASS)
Experience in using relational databases and Hibernate
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to create presentation material
Excellent customer service skills
Desired skills, qualifications and experience:
Experience of message-based Middleware and protocols, eg (REST)
Knowledge of the Spring Framework (MVC, Security, Web Flow)
Experience developing and supporting web-based applications.
