Description
Fantastic opportunity with a great company looking for a long-term contractor to develop applications for the IBM iSeries platform. This is an on-site role located near Willowbrook, IL
Your responsibilities as an RPG programmer include designing and developing code in RPG, generating reports, and fixing bugs
Software Design/Software Testing/Software Debugging
This position will work with other programmers and developers assisting with various projects, as well as performing design and maintenance work
You will have the opportunity to work on a smaller team and assist in special projects and occasional support.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in IBM iSeries AS400 development using RPG, RPG-ILE, RPG Free, CL, Embedded and free-standing SQL
Ability to develop, test, debug, and modify application programs or code using RPGIII, RPGIV RPG Free, CL/CLP, DB2/SQL and RPG/ILE programming
Proficiency is developing interactive and batch programs on iSeries
Experience in Data Conversions from multiple sources (flat files, CSV, ASCII, etc.) to IBM iSeries
RPG400, RPG III/IV, RPG FREE, ILE, CL, DDS, SEU, SDA, SUBFILES, SQLRPG, JAVA
Strong experience in EDI huge plus - mapping & configuring
Strong experience with Microsoft Office Products
