As a Solution Architect, you are responsible for creating project architectures that meet business needs while conforming to the existing reference architecture. You ensure that functional and non-functional requirements are met, take part in the selection of suppliers and solutions, and cooperate with designers in order to create solutions that follow the proposed architecture. You contribute to developing a common solution with the Technical and Domain Architects.
Responsibilities
You create and document the architecture of your solution and assume the responsibilities below (non-exhaustive list):
- Develop and document the solution architecture in accordance with the reference architecture. Process, document and follow up.
- Adapt the solution to all stakeholders
- Present the solution within the Architecture Board
- Monitor the implementation of a solution and ensure that it fits into the framework of the proposed architecture
- Adopt a hands-on approach that respects IT best practices and standards in matter of architecture
- Have a good general knowledge of current architecture concepts and in particular applications, data, and infrastructure
- Leverage your expertise in your disciplines and fields
- Work closely with our implementing partners
- Approve detailed projects and validate the compliance of the implementation with the expectations
Minimum requirements
- Good knowledge of the domain-driven design approach and the concept of Bounded Contexts
- Experience building solutions based on application requirements
- Experience in providing data and validating RFPs
- Experience in software development is required. You will need to work with people who work with different technology stacks (eg .NET, Java, MongoDB, PHP, PL/SQL, React...). These needs may vary depending on the context of a specific project
- Ability to understand and design architectures for different systems (eg mobile, web...)
- Good understanding of software development tools and methods (Scrum, Waterfall, CI/CD, tools)
- Required knowledge of API integration and management technologies (OpenAPI, GraphQL) and Microservice Architecture (K8S)
- Ability to document the environment using ArchiMate 3.x in Sparx
- Essential understanding of infrastructure concepts (gateways, Proxy, network general, authentication, IDP, AD...)
- Ability to understand and apply long-term vision ( big picture ) and tactical needs
- Customer oriented and concern for safety
- Strong interpersonal skills including teamwork, facilitation, communication, and negotiation
- Excellent analytical and technical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Experience working with service providers
- Any experience in a multi-cloud and Azure environment is an asset
- Any experience with SAP is an asset
