Java Spring Boot Developer
Whitehall Resources are looking for an experienced Java Spring Boot Developer for an initial 6 month contract in Shropshire. This role is currently remote, however, will require some on site presence throughout the duration of the contract
You will be required to operate through an FCSA Accredited umbrella company if successful in this role.
Role Description:
- As a Java Developer your primary focus will be to deliver user stories whilst working as a part of a multi-disciplined team.
- You'll be working closely with analysts and designers to build, deploy and support your Java Spring Boot microservices using well established software development techniques such as TDD and pair programming.
- Getting involved with all stages of service delivery including configuring, deploying and monitoring using industry standard tooling, to truly work in a DevOps capacity.
- Whilst working in a collaborative environment you are going to meet a variety of different people who, like you, have a wealth of knowledge and experience. As a part of one or more communities you will have the opportunity to influence how we grow as delivery centre and how we do things by sharing ideas and working with others to make things better.
Ideal candidates will have strong technical competence in:
- Java
- Spring Boot
- Unit testing and integration testing
- Commercial experience of building MVC Web and RESTful APIs in Spring boot
The following experience is desirable:
- Good working knowledge of Spring JPA, AOP, Transactions
- SQL and NoSQL databases,
- Containers and container management platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes
