Mobile App Android Software Engineer
Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Mobile App Android Software Engineer to work remotely and in Stratford for an initial 8 Month Contract.
*THIS ROLE HAS BEEN DEEMED AS INSIDE OF IR35*
The Role is for a Senior Mobile App Android Software Engineer. Working on our Mobile App which offers Small Businesses (Owner/Operators) visibility of their vehicles health status (Oil Life, AdBlue level etc), the ability to book their vehicle in for a service and control their vehicle (Lock and Unlock) to help provide maximum uptime and peace of mind their vehicle is secure.
As a Senior Software Engineer you will:
- Deliver modular android mobile applications using our tech stack
- Collaborate with a Product Owner, Product Manager, and Product Designer to deliver projects and features
- Solve highly complex technical problems using industry best practices
- Uses the test driven development methodology to realize the technical solution
- Lead and Pair with other software engineers to deliver user stories
- This is a senior role on the team and would be looking to mentor and grow junior members.
Skills Required:
- Strong Android Development with Android Studio, Kotlin, Java, Gradle/Hilt/Koin, Rx Java, Coroutines, Dagger 2.0, Espresso, Junit, Mock Frameworks, Android SDKs, Android Jetpack components
- Understanding of various clean architecture- MVVM, MVP
- Experience in craftsmanship techniques with TDD and Agile Methodologies
- Experience with software development tools, Backlog Management (CA Agile Central, Source Code Management (GIT), CI/CD (Docker, Jenkins, Concourse), code quality management tools like SonarQube
- Proven ability to work both individually and collaboratively
- Strong communication skills and ability to think above and beyond baseline requirements
Experience Required:
- 5+ Years of Android Development
Education Required:
- Software Development Degree or Equivalent eg Computer Science
