Software Engineer - Contract - 12 months - £620 per day to Umbrella (inside IR35)
Preference is for someone to be able to get to London Office a couple of times a month but open to fully remote for the right Software Engineer!
Exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer to join a Machine Learning Lab within a superb global organisation. The Machine Learning lab's mission is to support and empower the business units and partners with advanced Machine Learning technologies. The Team covers the full research & development life cycle, from explorative research to prototypes to industrial scale products. It undertakes projects with applications such as analysis and description, auto-tagging, search and recommendations for the business.
You will:
- Build software products with state-of-the-art Machine Learning/advanced tech at their core
- Design and build infrastructure and software to support the full machine learning life cycle
- Build on state-of-the-art cloud infrastructure (AWS Sagemaker, Kubernetes or similar)
- Work on challenging large-scale scenarios
Skills required:
- Solid professional software engineering experience needed
- Proficiency in Python ideally (or similar)
- Competency in at least one other programming language (eg, C/C++, Java, Scala or similar)
- Solid knowledge and experience with cloud computing environments (eg, AWS, GCP or similar)
- Experience with Linux environments (or similar)
- Mastery of version control
- Mastery of Docker
- Familiarity with the machine learning life cycle
- Familiarity with deep Learning and its usual frameworks (Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch or similar)
