Brookwood is looking for an experienced and dedicated Specialist Engineer - Java/Angular Specialist to join our client's inclusive and talented team for a 6-month contract. This Specialist Engineer role is Inside IR35, is remote in the UK and offers a favourable rate and the chance to be part of a friendly and diverse workplace culture.As a flexible Specialist Engineer - Java/Angular Specialist, you will help guide a team of engineers to build performant, intuitive, usable and scalable front ends for the company's production control users. The platform is less than a year old, and there's an excellent opportunity to steer its future and guide positive change.
Some of your responsibilities in this Java/Angular Specialist role will include:
- Providing UX advice to product owners to help assist in developing requirements
- Helping maintain and build frameworks and standard components across the Front End
- Mentoring and guiding junior Front End engineers in offshore locations
- Owning large-scale deliverables from inception to production
To apply for this Java/Angular Specialist job, you must be an experienced Angular Developer with a background working in a broad spectrum of Front End libraries. You will also require the following:
- Experience with various automated testing platforms for UI testing, such as Codecept, Puppeteer and Cypress
- Demonstrated ability to assist with the CICD process and build automatic testing capabilities to allow delivery at a high cadence
- The ability to demonstrate experience building several rich Internet applications
- A track record of working in financial institutions (ideal)
- A computer science degree with good knowledge of fundamental software concepts such as imperative, declarative, functional and OO languages (preferred)
